Well this is a first for me—I'm writing this on Saturday morning. By the time I got home on Thursday night it was too late, so I said I'd do a two-in-one the next night. Then last night I got home even later, and here we are. But I'm getting ahead of myself. ...

Yesterday had little in the way of excitement, which is why I opted out of giving it its own blog post. Work was business as usual, sitting in the boardroom, researching and editing and doing all those intern-y things I'm here to do. We did shake things up a bit for lunch instead of going to La Patisserie. Now that the election report launch was over, my supervisor was slightly less busy, enough to be able to go out for lunch again. ...

It may be Monday, but it was also launch day for the election report, so that helped! I got to work super early. I was told we were leaving by 8, but it wasn't until about 8:45 or so. One of the reasons we were late was because of the number of people we crammed into the van. I think there were two rows of four and two rows of three—it was cozy. The launch was being held at a hotel. We showed up late, but that's really just a way of life here. ...

Hello everybody! I didn't do a post yesterday and then very nearly forgot to do one today, but I remembered and here we are. I'm afraid there weren't any trips or adventures this weekend, just a couple of lazy days in Kampala; not "lazy" as in unproductive, but rather just being content to relax and do what I felt like doing. Isn't that what weekends are for? Some of them must be, at any rate. ...

In a radical turn of events, I am writing this blog pre-dinner, which is highly unusual. I didn't feel like cooking again tonight, and besides which it's a Friday, so I decided just to order food. There's an app in Uganda which let's you order from a ton of different restaurants, for a very small delivery fee. I went with what I know, so there is (hopefully) a quesadilla on its way, courtesy of The Little Donkey. ...
