The past two days have been curiously tempered with bad luck. Not that they've been awful or anything, just a few unfortunate circumstances, lined up back-to-back by chance. First of all, let me just say that the ant problem is not quite as resolved as I had hoped it was. Yes, they sealed the bit where the wall meets the ceiling, but apparently that's not the only way in—rather obvious in hindsight, but they had been falling so consistently from the same place, I just assumed that was it. ...

When I last left you it was raining ants over my bed. The plumber had come by to assess the situation, and I had convinced him that we had to seal the gap between the wall and the ceiling. He told me he would look into it and call me to arrange a time for the carpenter to come and do that. ...

I nearly forgot to write this! Just a quick little update. The past two days have mostly been a whole lot of nothing. At work, we haven't been doing anything terribly interesting—just working from the office, no interviews this week. Although I will say, all of a sudden there are a thousand things to do at work and seemingly not enough time to do them! It's going to be a very busy final few weeks at FHRI, that's for sure. ...
